Peacemaking Bookclub

In a world marked by conflict, injustice, and polarization, how can we live into our call to be peacemakers? How do we love those we disagree with (especially those we're closest to)? How is peacemaking connected to the work of justice? Mending the Divides by Jer Swigart (Global Immersion) and Jon Huckins (Journey Home) provides a practical framework for forming everyday peacemakers rooted in the way of Jesus. Join us for a book club to discuss their book and explore how Holy Spirit is inviting us to be formed as peacemakers.

Order your copy here, and save the date for Monday, October 21st. We’ll gather together at the Rollison’s home at 7pm to discuss the book. RSVP here and we’ll send the address!

Immanuel Prayer Training – 3rd Session

Immanuel Prayer Training – 3rd Session

Are you looking for a way of connecting more fully with God? A new way of helping others experience Him and work through painful feelings?

If so, get excited... this summer we’ll be offering a 3-session Introductory Training to Immanuel (Healing) Prayer, led by Michelle Craig, LMFT.

For the last 6 years, Michelle has been receiving Immanuel Prayer, incorporating Immanuel Prayer into her work with clients, and serving on an Immanuel Prayer Team at Vineyard Community Church in Laguna Nigel.

What is Immanuel Healing Prayer?

Immanuel Healing Prayer is a way of connecting with Jesus in an intimate and interactive way. By spending time with Him--“seeing” with the eyes of our hearts--we develop our secure attachment with Him. Building this attachment bond increases the intimacy, joy, and trust in our relationship with God and can directly heal issues arising from unmet needs for closeness and security.

We can also ask Jesus to come with us into difficult memories so that we can reprocess them in the context of His interactive presence. As He meets us in our needs inside those memories, the feelings of fear or shame they held are replaced by joy and peace.

Training Sessions will include a “Group Immanuel,” teaching content, plus a live demonstration.

If at all possible, we’d love for you to attend all three sessions to get a full picture of the approach and move toward being able to incorporate it in your personal prayer and prayer for others. Obviously, it might be difficult to get “Perfect Attendance” during the summer, so notes for each session and a recap at the start of each will help you stay caught up.

RSVP here!
